"we offer a lifetime warranty on all our insulation work"

Our Guarantee

At Beyond Group, we will guarantee that we're going to do what we say we're going to do, and it’s going to meet industry standards for the time that we install.

And if we don’t follow through? Well, that’s fully covered under warranty.

For example, if we say we're going to install 18 inches of insulation, and we don't do that, then that's 100% warrantable.

Insulation Warranties

When it comes to fiberglass loose fill, fiberglass batt and poly, mineral wool and other similar insulation materials, we will offer a lifetime warranty on workmanship only. The materials are not covered by warranty as they can settle or diminish over time.

For example, if the insulation was installed at 18 inches, and now it’s 14 inches, that is a natural settlement of the material, so it’s not something that can be warrantied.

Spray foam, however, is a different story. We will warranty the foam material and workmanship.

When we install spray foam, we offer a lifetime non-transferable warranty. This protects against the installation as well as the product.

Should our crews happen to miss a spot or don’t spray it thick enough, or should the foam crack, the spray foam material is covered, and we will come back and remove and replace it as we need to.

Condensation Warranties in Attics

One question that comes up a lot with our clients is whether or not we warranty for condensation in attic spaces?

The short answer is no. Well, sometimes, but it depends on the type of insulation system being installed.

If the installationis taking place in an unvented roof system, we could offer a lifetime warrantyagainst condensation because in that system, the only way for condensation toform is if the insulationis failing.

In a hybrid atticwhere both spray foam and fiberglass loose fill are installed, we can’twarranty against condensation because a hybrid attic is a ventilated systemwhere moisture is arisk.

We will considerwarranty on a case-by-case basis depending on what we find. For example, shouldthe roofers who come after us, forget to put on a new roof vent, that isneither the homeowner’s fault, nor the insulation installer’s fault.

The Rogue Installer

It is rare for spray foam to crack, but whenit does it is usually human error or laziness.

When cracking isfound in spray foam, the only solution is to remove and replace it. That’s abig and expensive job.

There was one suchinstance that our team at Beyond saw where most of the foam was installedcorrectly, but a rogue installer got lazy at the end of his day and sprayed afour-to-five-inch pass on the roof in a 200 square foot area (it is supposed tobe sprayed on at 2 inches at a time).

The result was a one-inchcrack that was about 12 feet long in two different cavities.

The homeowner wasobviously not happy, but we returned to the site, completed diagnostics, andrepaired it. The fix was good for two years, but it unfortunately crackedagain, although much more minor than before. We honored our warranty and repairedthe foam again with no issues since then!

We still connect withthe homeowner annually to offer a free inspection.

We share that storybecause we're human, but we’re also honest humans.  Mistakes can happen, so we will own theresponsibility and honor our warranty to repair what should have been installedright the first time.

Insulation Maintenance

While there’s reallynothing homeowners can do to upkeep the insulation to validate the warranty, there are some things to avoid.

Fiberglass batt andpoly, loose fill or other insulation materials are warrantied on installationonly, so other than a worker mistake, there’s nothing to keep up with on thesetypes of insulation systems.

When it comes tospray foam, avoiding extra humidity or do-it-yourself attic renovations are keyto keeping the warranty valid.

If the humidity gets too high in the home it can cause condensation in the attic space,

Physically damaging the spray foam to cut a hole for utilities and such will also void the warranty.

Our company is passionate about what we do. We take care of our clients like we take care of our families: with honesty, integrity, and care.
